Rumor Mill: Could Lando Calrissian Return In Episode IX?
Following Donald Glover's turn as Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story a lot of people hope the future holds great things for young Lando, but could we see the return of the original Lando in Star Wars Episode IX? We have essentially no idea what the final episode of the new trilogy will bring, but a new piece of information has many wondering if it might include the return of Lando Calrissian. Apparently, Billy Dee Williams is working with a personal trainer three times a week and has completely changed his diet, which is an interesting thing for an 81-year-old guy to do, unless he had a goal. Like, say, appearing in an upcoming movie.
To be clear, this is entirely rumor brought on by speculation, but it's certainly interesting speculation. Bill Dee Williams revealed his new training regimen during an appearance at MegaCon Orlando, but there is no direct connection between it and Star Wars Episode IX. It's certainly possible the man just wants to get in shape for his own personal health, something most of us could probably use. However, it's common for actors to get personal trainers when they need to get in shape for a specific role, so it's certainly possible that's the case here. Of course, the role could also be anything, it doesn't need to be Star Wars related, but Episode IX filming should be getting underway here in the next few months, so the timing works out.
While we have to treat this as a rumor, for now, it's certainly not a crazy idea. Star Wars Episode IX will be the first movie in this trilogy without one of the major stars of the original trilogy, and while Episode IX probably doesn't strictly need a connection to the original trilogy, and it does still have Chewbacca, if the new film wants to bring in another character from those films, Lando makes more sense than most.
The fact that we saw a young Lando in Solo: A Star Wars Story has also certainly helped to keep the character fresh in the minds of fans. Many have probably been and are curious about what he's been up to during the events of the new trilogy. Also, considering what we learned about in Lando in that film, it might be nice to see him visit the Millennium Falcon one more time.
We'll have to wait and see if this particular rumor bears fruit. I would certainly love to see Billy Dee Williams make a return as Lando, even if it's just in a small role. He's an important part of the Star Wars saga and, while it appears Donald Glover may keep the character alive, we shouldn't forget the man who originated the role either.

In The Perfect Date, our protagonist Brooks, played by Noah Centineo, is looking to score some money to put himself through college. Being of the mind to do anything for a fee, he takes an odd job that inspires him to create a business out of being a date for anyone who needs a plus one. It starts off as a one time incident, but when he impresses his first client, played by Laura Marano, she suggests he go pro. Which leads to their friendship, and of course, a budding romance that may or may not pay off in the end.
Co-starring Riverdale's Camila Mendes and Veep's Matt Walsh, The Perfect Date looks like yet another teen rom-com with which the internet is going to fall in love. And this in turn should only further fuel the resurgence that particular genre has recently enjoyed. It certainly helps that the film's lead is a bit of a familiar hand when it comes to making viewers fall in love.
Previously Noah Centineo starred with Lana Condor in the film adaptation of To All The Boys I've Loved Before, which was such a hit on Netflix last summer that it already has a sequel currently in production. But on top of his role in that particular film, Centineo also played the male love interest in another Netflix original, Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, which only cemented his standing within the fanbase that's lauded both of those films.
What's interesting about The Perfect Date is that Noah Centineo is now shifting into the role of the stereotypical romantic lead, complete with his own quirks and pitfalls to explore during this latest project. The world is probably more used to him being the object of affection, so reading what his loyal fans think of his time on the other side of the equation will be a subject ripe for analysis in the weeks directly following this debut.
This is probably the best time for The Perfect Date to drop its trailer, as not only is the film arriving relatively soon on Netflix; but Noah Centineo has also been rumored to be in contention for the lead role of He-Man in the Masters of the Universe reboot. So not only will this new film benefit from the recent talk surrounding its star, but the actor is undoubtedly going to see a boost in viewers for his role, whether its from freshly stoking his pre-existing fanbase, or from newcomers who enjoyed the cut of his jib in the trailer above.

Hagrids Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure At Universal Orlando Will Take You Into A Real Forbidden Forest
Last month, Universal Orlando Resort finally revealed the new roller coaster planned for Islands of Adventures Hogsmeade portion of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Its called Hagrids Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and today Universal released more details about exactly what will be involved in the attraction and what guests will see on board it. Get ready to explore the Forbidden Forest in a way you never thought possible, because it's going to be as real as any theme park attraction could be.
The most impressive thing about the new attraction is that when it says youll be flying through the Forbidden Forest, it really means it. The attraction will contain more than 1200 actual trees, making it quite possibly the most realistic roller coaster environment ever.

As the coaster soars through the trees, guests will come up against numerous magical creatures who fans of Harry Potter will be familiar with, centaurs. Cornish pixies, Fluffy the three-headed dog, as well as an as yet unnamed creature thats never been seen in the Wizarding World movies.
The storytelling behind the ride is that guests are attending a Care of Magical Creatures class with everybodys favorite groundskeeper, Hagrid. Of course, its Hagrid, which means things dont go entirely as planned. As well as seeing a number of creatures the roller coaster will also see ride vehicles avoiding Devils Snare along with other obstacles.
The ride vehicles have been made to resemble a motorcycle and sidecar, identical the one we see Hagrid drive in the movies. Guests will be able to sit on either side, which means that the experience will be slightly different depending on which side you choose, giving the attraction some natural re-ridability.
Hagrids Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure sounds like a lot of fun. According to Universal Orlando, the coaster will hit speeds of 50 miles per hour and will go both forwards and backwards.
The official reveal of the new attraction comes courtesy of a brief video hosted by Harry Potter film star Tom Felton, who speaks with Alan Gilmore, the art director for the Harry Potter franchise who has been directly involved in designing this new attraction as well. Keep an eye out for a piece of concept art which would appear to be a complete track layout
Universal upped the theme park game when it opened the first Wizarding World of Harry Potter area in Orlando. The level of theming and immersion was unforeseen in a theme park at the time. Its only been nine years since Hogsmeade opened, but Universal is clearly already looking for ways to improve the space and make it even better.
I have to say riding a motorbike at high speed through an actual forest sounds like an immense amount of fun. As there are still a few details being kept under wraps, a few more details may be on the way before the new coaster is officially open. However, the best news is that we dont have much time to wait to check out Hagrids Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, the attraction will be open on June 13.
